Resumo

Neste artigo propomo-nos a analisar o processo dialógico entre texto e imagem na obra Sebastiana e Severina (2002), escrita e ilustrada por André Neves. Enfocaremos a passagem da linguagem escrita à visual, bem como as representações da cultura popular presentes na mesma, seja na ilustração ou no texto escrito. Essa é retomada através dos elementos do cancioneiro popular, folguedos, festejos religiosos, comidas típicas, rimas que compõem as falas dos personagens, bem como sua caracterização e do ritmo narrativo que se aproxima do falar coloquial, ocasionando uma identificação entre o leitor e o texto. Tais aspectos presentes no livro podem auxiliar sua abordagem em sala de aula e incentivar o hábito da leitura literária em estudantes das mais diversas faixas etárias.

ABSTRACT: In this article we propose to analyze the dialogic process between text and image in the book Sebastiana e Severina (2002), written and illustrated by André Neves. We will focus the passing on the writing language to the visual language, as well as representations of popular culture present in the illustration or in written text. This is taken through the elements of popular songs, funs, religious festival, traditional food, rhymes that compose the dialogues of the characters, as well as their characterization and narrative rhythm that approximates the colloquial talk, causing identification between the reader and the text. Such aspects in the book can help your approach in the classroom and encourage the habit of literary reading in students of different age groups.
