A cultura do capitalismo e as migrações internacionais contemporâneas

Resumo

Este trabalho tem como objetivo principal refletir sobre a relação entre a cultura do capitalismo atual e os fluxos migratórios internacionais contemporâneos. Estes últimos tornaram-se um ícone da era global, uma era dos descentramentos, da fluidez e de tempos fraturados. Seguir em frente é o grande imperativo de nossos tempos, mas quais são as respostas que a cultura do capitalismo, enquanto conjunto de valores e práticas de determinada sociedade, dá ao número crescente de migrantes e refugiados ao redor do mundo? De um lado, a homogeneização das culturas; de outro, uma valorização destas últimas, levando a guetização espacial e cultural. Como alternativa, a interculturalidade pode ser uma chave teórica para compreender a produção da diversidade cultural produzida pela migração mas também como práxis cotidiana na relação entre os atores e grupos sociais envolvidos no processo migratório.

This paper has as main objective to reflect on the relation between the culture of the present capitalism and the international migratory flows contemporary. The latter became an icon of the global era, an era of decentering, fluidity, and fractured times. Moving forward is the great imperative of our times, but what are the responses that the culture of capitalism, as a set of values and practices of a given society, gives to the growing number of migrants and refugees around the world? On the one hand, the homogenization of crops; on the other, an appreciation of the latter, leading to spatial and cultural ghettoization. As an alternative, interculturality can be a theoretical key to understanding the production of the cultural diversity produced by migration, but also as a daily práxis in the relationship between the actors and social groups involved in the migration process.
