CONFIGURAÇÕES DA POLÍTICA DE ASSISTÊNCIA SOCIAL NO MARANHÃO
Resumo
Resumo: O artigo analisa resultados da pesquisa sobre a Política de Assistência Social e do Sistema Único de Assistência Social no Maranhão, como parte da pesquisa AVALIANDO A IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DO SISTEMA ÚNICO DE ASSISTÊNCIA SOCIAL NA REGIÃO NORTE E NORDESTE: significado do SUAS para o enfrentamento à pobreza nas regiões mais pobres do Brasil. São apresentados dados quantitativos parciais, resultantes da pesquisa realizada em seis municípios maranhenses visando analisar a constituição da rede socioassistencial, através da identificação da quantidade e tipos de equipamentos existentes e da cobertura dos programas, serviços de proteção básica e especial, e benefícios em relação a demanda existente no Estado.
