Analysis of hospitalization due to essential hypertension in Espírito Santo state, 2010-2014
Abstract
Introdução: A hipertensão arterial (HA) é uma condição clínica multifatorial caracterizada como importante fator de risco cardiovascular e desafio para a saúde pública brasileira. Objetivo: Analisar as internações por hipertensão essencial ocorridas no estado do Espírito Santo no período 2010-2014. Métodos: Estudo epidemiológico descritivo de natureza quantitativa, utilizando dados secundários obtidos no DATASUS. População-alvo: hospitalizações por hipertensão essencial no período de 2010 a 2014. Resultados: Foram registradas 9.200 internações por hipertensão essencial. O sexo feminino apresentou maior frequência de internações, e a faixa etária com maior percentual foi a de 50 a 59 anos, compreendendo 21,3% dos eventos. Houve redução do coeficiente de internação ao longo do período. A região de saúde que apresentou maior número de internações foi a Sul, com 37,92% das ocorrências. As internações por hipertensão essencial representam 0,87% das internações por condições gerais. Os custos somaram um total de R$ 2.159.124,38, e foram registrados 112 óbitos no período em estudo. Conclusão: Políticas públicas de atenção básica devem ser fortalecidas por meio de estratégias efetivas de prevenção, diagnóstico, tratamento e controle para a redução de internações e consequentes gastos, bem como pela promoção da qualidade de vida dos indivíduos.
