Temporal trend of prescription of biological therapies for rheumatoid arthritis
Abstract
Objetivo: Analisar a tendência temporal de uso das terapias biológicas e descrever o perfil epidemiológico dos pacientes diagnosticados com Artrite Reumatoide (AR) em tratamento atendidos nas Farmácias Cidadãs do Espírito Santo (ES) pelo SUS. Métodos: Estudo de série temporal, realizado no ES, através de dados secundários sobre pacientes com AR em uso de terapia biológica nas 10 Farmácias Cidadãs do Estado, no período de 2009 a 2017. Para comparar as incidências anuais de AR, por Farmácia Cidadã, fez-se uma análise de tendência linear dessas séries temporais. Resultados: Houve 9.804 solicitações para o tratamento com as terapias biológicas, com dispensação concentradas nas Farmácias Cidadãs da Região Metropolitana do Estado (69%); com predominância de mulheres (84%), e idade média de 56 anos; o medicamento com maior prevalência foi o Adalimumabe (40%), seguido do Infliximabe (21%), com um custo total para o tratamento igual R$ 6.335.100,71. Conclusão: Essa análise evidencia o aumento expressivo na dispensação desses medicamentos em relação ao crescimento da incidência dos pacientes novos pelo SUS. O crescimento da demanda por esses medicamentos acarreta também um custo elevado para o SUS, uma preocupação com o futuro assumindo a premissa de que tais valores não devem reduzir nos próximos anos.
