Mortality due to homicide based on information available at the legal medicine institute: a gender perspective
Abstract
Introdução: Dentre as várias formas de violência, o homicídio representa o ato mais hediondo, uma vez que revela a crueldade humana. Caracteriza-se como um fenômeno de causalidade complexa e multifatorial, destacando-se como o principal indicador da gravidade desse cenário. Objetivo: discutir os homicídios segundo as características da violência e os fatores associados ao gênero. Métodos: estudo documental e descritivo sobre as mortes violentas decorrentes de homicídios no ano de 2015, com base em dados secundários coletados a partir dos laudos periciais tanatoscópicos e dos relatórios de necropsias no Instituto de Medicina Legal, localizado em Petrolina/PE. Resultados: foram registrados 330 homicídios, prevalentes no sexo masculino (92,7%) e com idade média de 32,5 anos. A arma de fogo predominou nos homicídios masculinos (77%) e a arma branca, nos homicídios femininos (70,8%). As mulheres foram agredidas com maior quantidade de lesões, em especial na região tórax/abdome. Em ambos os sexos, o mecanismo perfurocontundente predominou na maioria das regiões anatômicas. Contudo, nas mulheres, o perfurocortante apresentou consideravelmente maior expressão nas regiões cabeça/pescoço, tórax/abdome e dorso. Conclusão: as características da violência apresentaram dinâmicas distintas entre os gêneros, sobretudo na maneira como é cometida a agressão, podendo estar associadas a fatores socioculturais de desigualdade de gênero.
