About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The ReMA – Revista de Musicologia Audiotátil is dedicated to publishing original research that employs or engages with the audiotactile approach in the field of music, ranging from the analysis of repertoires and performance practices to epistemological and historical reflections on musical experience. The journal values methodological plurality and interdisciplinarity, encouraging dialogue among musicology, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and cognitive sciences.

Open Access Policy

The ReMA adopts an open access policy, providing free access to all its content for readers and institutions, with no subscription fees or article processing charges (APCs). In doing so, the journal contributes to the democratization of scientific knowledge and to the greater visibility of academic production in musicology.

Copyright

Authors who publish in ReMA retain the copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. Articles are licensed under a Creative Commons license, allowing sharing and reuse provided that proper credit is given to both the authors and the original publication.

Publication Frequency and Submission

The journal is published on a biennial basis, with continuous submissions and calls for thematic dossiers announced periodically. Manuscripts must comply with the guidelines of the Chicago Manual of Style (17th edition or later) and are evaluated through a peer-review process conducted by subject specialists, ensuring the scientific rigor and quality of the publication.
