A natureza dos objetos e o não natural do humano: alguns pressupostos de uma perspectiva assimétrica

Resumo

O presente ensaio teórico pretende, a partir de alguns pressupostos retirados das ciências naturais, tensionar o argumento de certos autores da Antropologia Digital em relação aos atributos da tecnicidade e da virtualidade dos objetos. Através de uma discussão teórica e sem aportes empíricos, foi analisada a possibilidade de aproximação dos conceitos de natural e técnico, conforme percebido na definição dos objetos proposta por Gilbert Simondon (1989). A comparação entre o técnico e o natural, perpassa também a contribuição de Paul Virilio (1998) e outros autores que tendem a incorporar os atributos do objeto técnico ao humano (e ao natural). Tal entendimento é aqui contrastado com uma perspectiva de separação entre o sistema homem e o sistema natural a partir de algumas premissas ecológicas e filosóficas, tomando-se o exemplo da cidade enquanto objeto. Enfim, argumenta-se sobre a viabilidade de que a realidade virtual seja entendida como uma segunda natureza humana, conforme citado por Laymert Garcia dos Santos (2003) e sugerido por outros autores em consonância com a concepção simétrica da proposta de Bruno Latour (1994).

The nature of objects and the unnatural of the human, some assumptions from an asymmetric perspective

ABSTRACT

This theoretical essay intends, based on some assumptions taken from the natural sciences, to tension the argument of certain authors of Digital Anthropology in relation to the attributes of technicality and virtuality of objects. Through a theoretical discussion and without empirical contributions, the possibility of approximating the concepts of natural and technical was analyzed, as perceived in the definition of objects proposed by Gilbert Simondon (1989). The comparison between the technical and the natural also permeates the contribution of Paul Virilio (1998) and other authors who tend to incorporate the attributes of the technical object to the human (and the natural). This understanding is contrasted here with a perspective of separation between the man and the natural system based on some ecological and philosophical premises, taking the example of the city as an object. Finally, it is argued about the feasibility of virtual reality being understood as a second human nature, as cited by Laymert Garcia dos Santos (2003) and suggested by other authors in line with the symmetrical conception of Bruno Latour's proposal (1984).
