Abstract

Já no início de seu livro Philosophie du surréalisme, Ferdinand Alquié adverte o leitor apressado: uma filosofia do surrealismo não é uma filosofia surrealista. Com efeito, seu interesse pelo Surrealismo caminha lado a lado com seu interesse por Descartes, Malebranche, Spinoza e Kant. Trata-se de mostrar que é um livro de filosofia – filosofia do surrealismo, claro está – que, como tal, busca considerar o Surrealismo “em seu esforço por alcançar a verdade”, de modo que, mantendo-se neste lugar de onde os pensadores argutos podem mostrar a seus leitores o que veem, Alquié nos apresenta em seu livro uma tese que não é, de modo algum, trivial: a de que o Surrealismo tem efetivamente o alcance de toda filosofia digna deste nome. Seu filósofo? André Breton.
