Até que ponto a metafísica de Tomás de Aquino pode ser classificada como ontoteológica?

O artigo compara as posições de M. Heidegger e Tomás de Aquino à luz da crítica heideggeriana da metafísica tradicional como ontoteologia, enquanto fundamenta o ser do ente finito em Deus como ente supremo, em consequência da compreensão do sentido de ser como existente (na acepção usual do termo). Heidegger considera este pensar inadequado ante o novo sentido de ser que ele procura esclarecer ao longo de toda a sua obra. Evidentemente Tomás não o pôde adotar, e, assim, incorre no que Heidegger denomina esquecimento da questão do sentido de ser. Nem por isso o pensamento tomásico é simplesmente ontoteológico. Com sua concepção de ser como ato (actus essendi), ele não inclui Deus no âmbito da metafísica e no interior do horizonte da razão humana, mas o considera como fundamento absolutamente transcendente do ente, superior a qualquer compreensão humana. Conclui-se mostrando que se trata de duas perspectivas hermenêuticas de acesso ao ente no seu todo, que não se contrapõem, mas podem complementar-se.Downloads
