O Que é o Homem Neoliberal?
Uma crítica a partir do contexto moçambicano

O homem neoliberal é caracterizado pelo medo, ganância e orgulho irracional, que são as causas do antagonismo e conflito entre os humanos. O medo é talvez a principal causa de guerras baseadas nas diferenças de classe, tribo, raça e género. A ganância é uma ameaça à liberdade e à sobrevivência humanas enquanto fundada na acumulação de bens, independentemente de e à custa do bem-estar de outras pessoas. O orgulho impede as pessoas de desenvolver empatia moral e, portanto, as cega de reconhecer o dever para com outras pessoas. Se o homem neoliberal é assim um indivíduo que concebe unicamente a sua felicidade individual e a liberdade de buscá-la com todos os meios, então, a sua forma característica do viver com os outros é tornar-se hobbesianamente lobo do outro homem, um despojado de humanismo. Continuarmos ou não homens neoliberais, tudo depende de nós mesmos.
