CONSTITUIÇÃO DO EU E IDENTIFICAÇÃO NARCÍSICA:
O DEBATE ENTRE FREUD, FERENCZI E ABRAHAM ACERCA DA MELANCOLIA

A preocupação com a gênese do eu e da estruturação do “caráter” ou personalidade se tornou um dos eixos que motivaram a rica era dos debates na Psicanálise nas décadas de 20 e 30 do século XX, resgatando o interesse por um tema filosófico clássico: a origem da consciência reflexiva de si. No cerne dessa problemática está a compreensão do mecanismo de identificação narcísica na melancolia, que se dá sob diferentes perspectivas envolvendo Freud e seus dois discípulos mais originais, Ferenczi e Abraham. A proposta deste ensaio teórico é endossar a posição de que a matriz clínica de melancolia é a fonte do paradigma objetal em Psicanálise e resgatar o esquema do desenvolvimento da libido para a compreensão da estruturação de personalidade. São discutidas as múltiplas perspectivas sobre a constituição do eu e das relações de objeto, com destaque para a dinâmica identificatória e para os destinos do sadismo e masoquismo.
