O RETORNO DA SOFÍSTICA RECALCADA:
IMPLICAÇÕES FREUDO-LACANIANAS

RESUMO: Levando em consideração a posição de Bárbara Cassin, que afirma ter encontrado na psicanálise um dos pontos de retorno mais bem definido do logos sofístico, nos propomos a verificar até que medida a sofística, recalcada enquanto não sentido, nos leva, de alguma maneira, a repensar os limites do conceito de sentido. Nessa perspectiva, o logos sofístico é sempre remetido ao que ele mesmo busca impedir, a saber, o ser e a fala do ser. Vale lembrar que, na história da filosofia, a metafísica do ser e do sentido é platônico-aristotélica. No que concerne aos diálogos platônicos, por exemplo, a sofística é completamente desconsiderada, seja no plano ontológico, seja no plano lógico. Seria necessário, para se fazer um mínimo de justiça à sofística, aceitar, além das oposições entre filosofia e retórica, de um lado, e sentido e não sentido, do outro, a sofística como "esquiva" do metafísico e alternativa à linguagem clássica da filosofia. Jacques Lacan, distinguindo-se da linguagem do ser, aproxima-se da ficção da palavra; nesse aspecto, aproxima-se, também, da sofística. Abordaremos, portanto, algumas teses que podem nos propiciar uma tal aproximação, no intuito de apresentar a sofística como uma questão sempre atual.
