O presente artigo recupera o debate contemporâneo sobre a política e a pós-verdade para enfatizar o problema da “verdade política” em sua relação com a questão do poder e a da constituição do espaço público em algumas das obras de Michel Foucault e Hannah Arendt. Neste sentido, gostaria de sugerir que as perspectivas de poder, política e verdade de Foucault e Arendt, a despeito de suas amplas diferenças, são importantes para a compreensão de certos aspectos atuais da “circulação da verdade” e para a descrição do perfil de nossas estratégias contemporâneas de controle das sociedades em um chamado “novo” regime de verdade. Ao final do artigo, procuramos delinear algumas questões gerais a respeito das atuais relações entre tecnociência, política e novas mídias.
Abstract
This paper recovers the contemporary debate about politics and post-truth to stress the problem of “political truth” in its relation to the question of power and the constitution of public space in some Michel Foucault and Hanna Arendt’s works. In this sense, I should like to suggest that Foucault and Arendt’s perspectives of power, politics and truth, despite their great differences, are important for understanding certain current aspects of “truth circulation” and to describe the profile of our contemporary strategies to control societies in a so-called “new” regime of truth. At the end of this paper, we seek to outline some general issues regarding the current relations between technoscience, politics and new media.
