Abstract

This interview with Professor Mauricio Beuchot explores his proposal for advancing analogical hermeneutics and discusses both the history of Latin American Philosophy and interdisciplinary connections within the broader field of Philosophy.

   

Author Biography

  • Bento Machado Mota, UNAM

    Bolsista de pós-doutorando pelo Instituto de Investigações Históricas na Universidade Nacional Autônoma do México, assessorado por Jorge Traslosheros. Foi Pós-doutorando no The Harvard Center for Renaissance Studies, na Villa I Tatti, em Florença. Foi bolsista de curta duração na John Carter Library (Brown University) e visiting scholar na KU Leuven. Possui doutorado em História Social pela Universidade de São Paulo (2022). Possui graduação em História pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (2013) e mestrado pela mesma instituição (2016). Tem experiência nas áreas de História Moderna, História do Brasil Colonial e História da América colonial, com ênfase em História intelectual global, Escolástica ibérica, História indígena, História das Religiões, Missões jesuítas e Filosofia Moderna.
