Heidegger, Being and Time, phenomenon of the worldAbstract
This study aims to analyze the constitution of the phenomenon of the world in the existential analytic developed by Martin Heidegger in Being and Time (1927), taking average everydayness (durchschnittliche Alltäglichkeit) and language (Sprache) as its guiding axes. It proceeds from the understanding that being-in-the-world constitutes a fundamental determination of Dasein and that the elaboration of the world plays a decisive role in the methodological strategy of the existential analytic. The study seeks to show that the world holds methodological primacy, insofar as the delimitation of average everydayness allows for the explicitation of Dasein’s most immediate way of being and its relationship with intramundane entities. The analysis then turns to the elaboration of the worldhood of the world, highlighting the pragmatic character of Dasein’s relationship with intramundane entities. In this context, language is examined in its relationship with significance (Bedeutsamkeit), contributing to an understanding of the world as a totality of meaningful relations in which Dasein is always already situated and oriented.
