“Compaixão contra compaixão!”

O presente artigo discute alguns aspectos fundamentais da compaixão em Schopenhauer e Nietzsche, por meio de uma análise da interpretação do sofrimento por ambos autores, no intuito de responder – ainda que parcialmente, uma vez que o tema ainda será objeto de investigações futuras – as seguintes perguntas: há, em Nietzsche, apenas uma crítica à moral da compaixão schopenhaueriana? Ou pode-se afirmar que o autor elabora, como desenvolvimento de sua crítica, uma própria concepção de compaixão? E, se assim for, quais são as bases teóricas do autor para isso?
