Uma convergência fortuita? Canguilhem e Merleau-Ponty: uma proximidade ou uma denúncia de necessidade intelectual?

Esse artigo visa mostrar como dois pensadores franceses, Georges Canguilhem e Maurice Merleau-Ponty, escreveram suas teses de doutorado numa mesma época (no começo da década de 1940) e, levando em conta que um não conhecia o trabalho do outro, é interessante notar que eles convergem em larga medida seus argumentos. Não se trata apenas de uma curiosidade acadêmica, mas de mostrar como essa convergência fortuita se justifica a partir de uma necessidade intelectual da época em que viviam. Desenvolvemos cinco pontos que nos mostrariam essa necessidade intelectual e, enfim, um momento em que eles divergem profundamente: ao pensar o trabalho humano enquanto um prolongamento da norma vital por um lado e, por pensar esse trabalho como uma negação da natureza, por outro.
