Abstract

The aim of this article is to reflect on one of the expressions of the American Hybrid Warfare in Argentina: the use of lawfare to overthrow governments. In Argentina, a major effort was made to legally persecute individuals linked to the Justicialist Party (PJ) and sectors of the progressive press, resulting in Cristina Kirschner being sentenced to six years in prison, making her ineligible for office. Behind this effort was an international network of judges, mainstream media outlets, and agents of the U.S. government, who, among other actions, carried out extortion, espionage, and covert operations to carry out coups, which became known as “D’Alessiogate.” To achieve this goal, we collected data through bibliographic research.
