Da gravidade à água: analisando as mudanças climáticas no Brasil com métodos computacionais

A previsão de secas e inundações em contextos climáticos complexos exige análises robustas que combinem informações de variabilidade espacial e temporal. Este trabalho emprega dados gravitacionais das missões GRACE para investigar a dinâmica hídrica no Brasil, região de importância estratégica devido à sua extensa rede fluvial e à alta sensibilidade a fenômenos climáticos globais, como o El Niño e a Oscilação Decadal do Pacífico. Adotando uma abordagem computacional apoiada em métodos como a Descomposição em Valores Singulares (SVD), CFAR (deteção de picos) e DBSCAN (agrupamento espacial), identificam-se padrões de variação e áreas de maior vulnerabilidade hídrica, com destaque para as regiões de Manaus, do Mato Grosso e Minas Gerais.
