Esta investigación tiene como objetivo indagar el papel del contexto familiar, el trabajo por cuenta propia y el género en la formación de grado en estudiantes de sistemas de información. En cuanto al planteamiento del problema, esta investigación se caracteriza por ser cuantitativa y en cuanto a los objetivos, es una investigación exploratoria. El procedimiento técnico adoptado fue el estudio de caso en estudiantes del curso de sistemas de información (número de encuestados igual a 100). Los principales resultados indican que la mayoría de los estudiantes tienen la intención de convertirse en emprendedores en el futuro: los estudiantes que tienen una familia emprendedora tienden a apoyar más el emprendimiento; y alto comportamiento empresarial en las mujeres en comparación con los hombres. La importancia de este estudio es indicar cómo tales factores (contexto familiar, trabajo por cuenta propia y género) afectan a los estudiantes de pregrado, contribuyendo a los aspectos teóricos y de gestión de los estudios sobre intención emprendedora en el contexto de la región amazónica.
