Un panorama del papel de las herramientas clásicas de calidad en la Industria 4.0 través de indicadores bibliométricos

Con la transición hacia la Gestión de la Calidad 4.0, surge el cuestionamiento sobre el papel desempeñado por las herramientas clásicas de la calidad, utilizadas desde el siglo XX. Para verificar esta cuestión, se realizó un estudio de análisis bibliométrico con artículos que presentaban aplicaciones de las herramientas clásicas de la calidad en conjunto con los pilares de la Industria 4.0, publicados en la base Web of Science. Con el apoyo del software VOSviewer, se generaron indicadores bibliométricos que fueron analizados. Los resultados demostraron que la estratificación, los histogramas y las cartas de control se utilizaron principalmente en conjunto con big data, simulación y robótica. Se concluyó que, en la práctica, estas herramientas de la calidad son empleadas por las industrias 4.0 en entornos caracterizados por un gran flujo de datos, adquiriendo nuevas aplicaciones más allá del monitoreo de procesos y siendo utilizadas también en otras aplicaciones industriales no tradicionales. Así, este estudio indica que aún existen lagunas de investigación por explorar para garantizar la integración efectiva de las herramientas de la calidad con el entorno tecnológico, especialmente en el caso del diagrama de Pareto, el diagrama de causa y efecto y el diagrama de dispersión.
