Diversificação energética, descarbonização e redução de custos na indústria brasileira: estimativas de cenários possíveis

Esta investigação teve por objetivo avaliar como alterações na participação relativa das fontes energéticas integrantes do balanço energético da indústria brasileira podem impactar os gastos totais com compras de energia elétrica e consumo de combustíveis desse importante segmento econômico. A partir de dados coletados junto à Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE) e ao Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), foram realizadas simulações e análises por meio de técnicas de machine learning baseadas em redes neurais artificiais do tipo perceptron multicamadas (RNA-MLP), viabilizadas pelo método de reamostragem por sorteio randomizado com reposição (bootstrap). Os resultados permitiram avaliar 12 cenários de diversificação do mix energético industrial, desenvolvidos a partir de modelos com 16 observações históricas (2007-2022) e reamostragem bootstrap de até 1.000 observações simuladas, indicando alternativas capazes de reduzir custos energéticos em um contexto no qual esses gastos apresentaram crescimento acumulado de 379% no período analisado.
