Resumo

In recent years, the concept of the Blue Economy has gained strategic relevance, especially in relation to national sovereignty, but it has also been the subject of important economic, environmental, and social discussions in international forums. Considering the existence of national efforts through events, projects, or academic publications, the feasibility of implementing a hybrid method capable of analyzing the results of such work was identified, aiming to provide the reader with a general overview of the literature. To this end, a search was conducted in the Scopus database to identify works within the theme. From the defined keywords, 29 articles were found, which were screened and analyzed using the PRISMA method. Subsequently, the data from the remaining 27 articles were loaded into bibliometric analysis software, which made it possible to highlight metrics of annual publication growth, most relevant terms, co-occurrence of topics, and a thematic map. Based on this investigation and literature review, the work highlights the main ongoing projects, the current challenges, and the opportunities explored in an incipient way in the Brazilian context.
