Author Biography

Claudio Zanotelli ., Universidade Federal do Espirito Santo

Degree in Regional Planning from the University of Paris X, Nanterre, France (1987), Master in Urbanism, Geography and Development Practice in Third World Countries by the University of Paris X, Nanterre (1992-1993) and PhD in Human, Economic and Regional Geography from the University of Paris X, Nanterre (1998). Post-Doctorate at LATTS - École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (2004-2005), Paris, France and a Postdoctoral fellow at IPPUR-UFRJ (2018-2019). He is currently Full Professor at the Federal University of Espírito Santo and Editor of Geografares journal. Conducts research on cities, metropolization, economic and regional geography and epistemology of geography. Coordinator of the Laboratory for Urban, Regional, Territory and Landscape Studies (LABURP) at UFES. He published, among other books, Geophilosophy and Geopolitics in a thousand trays (Edufes, 2014); The open and changing structures of thought and the world. Drifts between Geography and Anthropology (Tiragem Livre, 2019); News as a war machine. Analysis of speeches about Petrobras and oil and gas production in newspapers. A focus on Espírito Santo (EDUFES, 2020) and Yves Lacoste: Interviews by Annablume, 2005. Fellow researcher at the National Center for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPQ) of Brazil.
