Este artigo visa discutir os conceitos de modernidade, modernismo e modernização a partir das proposições levantadas por Marshal Berman e Néstor García Canclini. O foco da análise será a cidade de Buenos Aires que durante os anos de 1920 experimentou uma acirrada transformação em seu espaço físico. Para tal, iremos utilizar a obra do poeta argentino Jorge Luis Borges (1899–1986) a fim de compreender o desenvolvimento desses processos no espaço urbano portenho.Downloads
