Organização e restrições estruturais da cadeia de abastecimento do peixe siluro na Costa do Marfim

Resumo

Na Costa do Marfim, o siluro continua marginal na aquicultura, apesar do seu potencial de consumo e da forte dependência nacional das importações de peixe. Este artigo analisa a organização e as restrições estruturais da sua cadeia de abastecimento. O estudo combina um inquérito quantitativo com 200 piscicultores e 38 pescadores e entrevistas semiestruturadas com 128 atores da fileira. Os resultados mostram uma estrutura triplamente fragmentada: produção aquícola local fraca e pouco especializada, capturas continentais pouco visíveis nas estatísticas oficiais e dependência crescente das importações de siluriformes asiáticos. O setor funciona sobretudo com relações informais, sem contratualização nem coordenação vertical. Além disso, o siluro continua penalizado por tabus alimentares persistentes. Em conjunto, estas restrições mantêm um bloqueio estrutural. O estudo defende uma governança integrada que articule insumos, estruturação dos mercados e revalorização sociocultural do produto.
