Morbidities related to hospital instruments for children younger than four years living in Espírito Santo state
Abstract
Introdução: As principais causas de internações infantis são devido a condições sensíveis à atenção primária e reconhecê-las permite, não somente identificar maneiras de preveni-las, mas também erradicar os fatores condicionantes ao adoecimento e evitar novas hospitalizações. Objetivos: Descrever as principais causas de internações hospitalares de crianças menores de quatro anos no Espírito Santo, entre 2011 e 2015. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa, baseado nas internações hospitalares de crianças. Realizado a partir de dados secundários, cuja principal fonte foi o SIH-SUS, disponível no DATASUS. Foram selecionadas para o estudo as seguintes variáveis: o local, a faixa etária, o período de 2011 a 2015, o número de internações por ano e por regiões de saúde, a morbidade por local de residência, óbito após internação hospitalar e a Classificação Estatística Internacional de Doenças e Problemas Relacionados à Saúde, CID-10. Resultados: Os principais agrupamentos de doenças responsáveis por internações infantis no Espírito Santo foram: as doenças respiratórias (35,40%), parasitárias (19,98%) e do período perinatal (18,04%). A causa mais importante de internações hospitalares foi a pneumonia (19.804 internações), em evidência em todos os anos estudados, seguida pela gastroenterite com 5.237 internações, e asma com 4.844. Conclusão: Grande parte das internações hospitalares pediátricas no Espírito Santo poderiam ter sido evitadas ou minimizadas por uma assistência oportuna e eficiente, uma vez que essas condições são preveníveis e tratáveis no nível primário de atenção à saúde.
