Ethical Oversight
RBPS ensures that all published research complies with the highest ethical standards, particularly in studies involving humans, animals, or vulnerable populations.
- Ethical approval: Authors must obtain approval from a recognized Ethics Committee before initiating studies involving humans or animals, in line with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and other international guidelines. This information must be explicitly stated in the manuscript.
- Informed consent: For studies involving human participants, documented informed consent is mandatory. The journal also requires strict adherence to preserving participants' anonymity and privacy.
- Research involving vulnerable populations: Additional ethical justifications are required for studies involving vulnerable populations, including detailed explanations of the benefits and safeguards for participants’ rights.
