Gestão de facilidades como instrumento de políticas públicas: análise de conteúdo da estratégia do governo do Reino Unido

Authors

Abstract

Facilities Management (FM) has been the subject of international research and analysis, especially over the last five decades, from the perspective of its contribution to the operational efficiency of organizations. Considered as an area that supports operations, it is responsible for the building’s physical infrastructure and, consequently, for the quality of environments and their users. It is noted that in recent years the area has presented new exogenous agendas related to sustainability and public policies, as recently implemented by the UK government. The work was anchored in the literature review of seminal texts that point out advances and new externalities though the content analysis of the government's official strategy. The results indicated that the strategy, viewed from a macro perspective, presents a central approach linking FM as a tool to support citizen services through data. The document presented emotions more linked to trust and to positive feelings. On the other hand, whether the goal was a sustainable and green strategy was not emphasized in the narrative.
