At the height of discussions around the policy of racial quotas in Brazil, anthropologist Kabengele Munanga (2010) said: “Our racism is a perfect crime, because the victim himself is responsible for his racism”. How can we, therefore, consolidate rights and combat racism without racists? Through a review of the narrative literature, and based on analysis of the legislative framework, this text highlights the tools required to put pressure on Brazilian racism? It concludes that, in addition to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and active social movements, one of the weapons against the perfect crime is that those benefiting from Affirmative Actions through racial quotas are committed to updating the norms and rules of hegemonic curricula, are aware of the selection criteria, and are aware of the historical role of the Black Movement in changing the social and racial paradigms which enables the structural transformation of a society still permeated by the ideology of racism.
