Determinação espectroscópica da dispersão de velocidades de galáxias-lente e seu impacto na medida do parâmetro pós-Newtoniano

Este estudo se dedica a realizar medições precisas da dispersão de velocidades das galáxias lentes, utilizando dados obtidos pelo telescópio SOuthern Astrophysical Research (SOAR) durante o ano de 2022. A partir da análise de 10 espectros de galáxias, obtivemos estimativas fundamentais das suas dispersões de velocidade. Este trabalho oferece medições cruciais que serão utilizadas em colaboração com pesquisadores do Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas para inferir o parâmetro pós-Newtoniano γ. Esta parceria visa aprimorar a precisão das futuras estimativas desse parâmetro, contribuindo significativamente para a compreensão das leis fundamentais da gravidade em escalas galácticas por meio do método de comparação de massas, ao comparar a massa dinâmica das lentes gravitacionais galácticas, independente de γ, com a massa obtida através da modelagem das lentes, a qual depende de γ.
