Editorial Board

BJPE Editorial Policy – The BJPE editorial policy aims to establish principles, guidelines, and responsibilities for readers, authors, reviewers, and editors. To this end, the journal's scope, peer-review procedures, content access, copyright policies, and published guidelines strictly adhere to recommended standards of ethics and scientific responsibility.

Editorial Roles – The Editorial Board plays a fundamental role within BJPE; its mandate includes: ensuring quality regarding the accuracy of information, clarity of writing, and relevance; making editorial decisions based on the publication significance of manuscripts (originality, novelty, and contribution to knowledge); establishing and reviewing editorial guidelines to ensure standardization, formatting, and publication ethics; and monitoring and mediating potential conflicts of interest to guarantee impartiality and editorial integrity.

The Editorial Board is responsible for striving for the journal's sustainability - Ensuring its promotion, maintenance, and consolidation—as well as expanding the pool of available reviewers, supporting section editors in upholding good editorial practices, acting as the final authority on the acceptance of submitted material, and deliberating on the publication of thematic issues and matters concerning editorial policy.

Regarding the editorial workflow, the Editors-in-Chief are responsible for continuous improvement and for coordinating the entire editorial team, including convening and chairing the Editorial Board. Section editors are responsible for analyzing submitted manuscripts and approving those that fall within the journal's scope, forwarding them to registered *ad hoc* reviewers. They must also ensure an anonymous review process characterized by fairness and impartiality, while consistently upholding good editorial practices. It is important to highlight that the group of external reviewers consists of professionals holding Master’s and Doctoral degrees from various institutions. They are committed to notifying editors of their availability to evaluate an article within established deadlines; treating manuscripts as confidential documents to protect intellectual property and authors' rights; promptly reporting any rights violations by authors or instances of plagiarism; and providing objective assessments—expressing opinions backed by reasoned arguments and references—in accordance with best editorial practices. Thus, the editing and layout team currently consists of the Editors-in-Chief, who are responsible for ensuring visual quality while adhering to the journal's original design and guidelines.
