Comportamiento pro-ambiental y separación de residuos bajo la teoría del comportamiento planeado: una revisión de la literatura

La emergencia climática y el aumento en la generación de residuos sólidos urbanos sitúan el comportamiento proambiental como una prioridad en las agendas globales. Este artículo tiene como objetivo revisar críticamente la literatura reciente sobre los determinantes del comportamiento proambiental relacionado con la separación de residuos, con base en la Teoría del Comportamiento Planeado (TCP). Se realizó una revisión narrativa de la literatura, analizando 32 artículos empíricos publicados entre 2020 y 2025, seleccionados en las bases de datos Web of Science y Scopus. Los resultados muestran que factores psicosociales (actitudes, normas, control percibido), emocionales (culpa, orgullo) e identitarios (identidad ecológica) influyen en la intención y el comportamiento de separación. También se identificaron como determinantes críticos la infraestructura, la conveniencia y el apoyo institucional. Se concluye que la separación de residuos es un fenómeno multidimensional que requiere políticas públicas integradoras, que combinen educación ambiental, incentivos, tecnologías accesibles y campañas de comunicación efectivas. Se recomienda avanzar en investigaciones que analicen el comportamiento real, con enfoques longitudinales y mayor diversidad geográfica.
