Abstract

Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun (1756-1842) stars in this emblematic article in which I seek to establish a comprehensive historiographical parallel in a comparative way. Whitney Chadwick, Griselda Pollock, in addition to Koselleck, are fundamental to cast meaning in the artistic plots present in Memoirs of Madame Vigée Lebrun. As a result, I seek to express the current feminine artistic parallel of the French revolutionary period, indicted in her exhibition at the MET in 2016, in order to establish her artistic parameters
