Abstract

Currently, it is very easy to access official information on economic activity and occupation in Brazil. Each research, however, has its own methodologies, therefore, particularities and limitations. In this paper we demonstrate the methodological differences and comparisons between data of economic activity and occupation in Brazilian Census, PNAD and RAIS, in order to facilitate the understanding and use of information in surveys that are related with Brazilian labor market. As result we show that, in spite of differences, the surveys are compatible and complementary to each other.
