Abstract

Review of the book The Walking Dead explica a natureza da cidade e o sentido do neoliberalismo, by Tadeu Alencar Arrais (Rio de Janeiro: Letra Capital, 2022, 88p.). Based on an analysis of the famous American series, the author discusses themes such as urbanization, neoliberalism and violence. The Walking Dead is a metaphor for daily life in very difficult times.

Leandro Dias de Oliveira

Associate Professor of the Department of Geography at UFRRJ - Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (DGG-IGEO), headquarters campus, and professor of the permanent staff of the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGGEO-UFRRJ) and the Graduate Program Interdisciplinary Graduation in Digital Humanities (PPGIHD-UFRRJ). Scholarship CNPq Research Productivity - Level 2 and Young Scientist from Our State - FAPERJ. He integrates and coordinates the Laboratory of Economic Geography, Policy and Planning (LAGEP-UFRRJ).
