Abstract

Review of the book "Amazone. Un monde en partage", by Hervé Théry. The book is part of the collection “Géohistoire d’un fleuve” published by the prestigious CNRS Éditions. In this book, Théry makes us see and feel the land from the river and makes us rethink the Amazonian territories from a geohistorical perspective.

Author Biography

  • Cláudio Luiz Zanotelli, Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo

    Licenciado em Planejamento Regional pela Universidade de Paris X, Nanterre, França (1987), Maîtrise em Planejamento e Urbanismo (1992), Diploma de Estudos Aprofundados (DEA) em Geografia e Prática do Desenvolvimento nos Países do Terceiro Mundo pela Universidade de Paris X, Nanterre (1993) e Doutorado em Geografia Humana, Econômica e Regional pela Universidade de Paris X, Nanterre (1998). Realizou Pós-Doutorado no LATTS - École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (2004-2005), Paris, França. e um Pós-doutorado no IPPUR-UFRJ (2018-2019). Atualmente é professor Titular da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo e Editor da Revista Geografares. Realiza pesquisas sobre geografia econômica e geografia ambiental. Coordenador do Laboratório de Estudos Urbanos-regionais, das Paisagens e dos Territórios(LABURP) da UFES. Publicou, dentre outros livros, Geofilosofia e Geopolítica em Mil Platôs (Edufes, 2014), As estruturas abertas e mutantes do pensamento e do mundo. Derivas entre a Geografia e a Antropologia (Tiragem Livre, 2019), A notícia como máquina de guerra. Análise dos discursos sobre a Petrobras e a produção de Petróleo e Gás nos jornais. Um enfoque no Espírito Santo (EDUFES, 2020) e Yves Lacoste: Entrevistas pela Annablume, 2005. É bolsista PQ1D do CNPQ.
