Historical perspective of Law 10.639/03 - perspective of Law 10.639 / 03 – Movements, scenarios and tracks

This article aims to expose the historical course of Law 10639/03, which establishes the obligation of teaching African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture in schools and the teaching of literature. It is intended to list some notes on the question of the law itself and its implementation, observing the discourses and practices that have been constituted for the current curricular changes. The methodology consisted of a literature review by Nilma Lino Gomes (2005, 2011), Petronio Domingues (2007), Abdias do Nascimento (1982) and Kabenguele Munanga (2005), as well as reading the legislation.
