Abstract

This work, inserted in the theoretical-methodological framework of the Discourse Analysis of Scientific Dissemination, associated with the Theory of Social Representations, seeks to analyze the linguistic-discursive treatment of information on a thematic topic traditionally seen as taboo in our culture, namely or related to sexual issues that represent man and woman. To this end, it chooses a report published in the Brazilian magazine for dissemination and scientific curiosities, in Mundo Estranho, accessible online on the Super portal. We seek to delve deeper into how the knowledge in question is socially represented and consider itself an editorial line of the magazine. We start from the principle that the published text makes use of expressive resources close to common sense, technical terms are avoided, narrative types are validated, modifications or discourses, variables and paraphrases of isolated texts are used in the process recontextualization of science information. In this sense, a variation appears as a strategy of productive intelligibility, but, in addition, with the use of playful terms, unusual analogies and methods to increase the interest of a young reader, or that, on the other hand, does not use to dissolve common sense discourses, recurrent in contemporary social practices of our culture.
