Introduction: Quality of Life and Health Promotion are relevant conceptual parameters; thus, exploring evidence focused on life-promoting practices is a propositional path capable of enabling alternatives to the healthcare provided to populations. Objective: Analyzing the scientific production about quality of life and health promotion, in order to identify the scientific concept and evidences of this subject in the literature. Methods: Integrative literature review carried out in studies collected in databases such as Science Direct, Scopus, Virtual Health Library (VHL) and PubMed from 2013 to 2017. Results: Conceptual convergences about quality of life and health promotion were observed. The analyzed definitions were associated with individuals education towards adopting healthy lifestyles in order to improve their quality of life, which was described as subjective, based on sociocultural and integral well-being factors. Conclusion: The current study has emphasized knowledge about the population as an important instrument to enable innovations based on individuals’ living conditions and health-disease processes.
