Abstract

Introduction: The training opportunity involving different professional categories greatly contributes to the realization of teamwork by these professionals, with integrated action, collaboration and interdependence of the areas. Objective: The objective was to produce an experience report based on the experience of multidisciplinary residents in the context of the School Health Program and highlight the promotion of interprofessional and collaborative practices. Methods: This is a qualitative study of a narrative and reflective nature of the experience report type. The experience took place in a Family Health Unit and a school in the Unit’s territory, where residents worked in the School Health Program. Active methodologies were used to work with the students, in the form of playful activities such as games, which were produced by several professionals in the context of a Multiprofessional Residency Program. Results: The report demonstrates that the residents’ work took place in stages, with organization and planning of activities that would be developed in schools. It is evident in the experience, the presence of interprofessional skills and collaborative work in different stages of the work. The main competences highlighted were: Person-Centered Attention, Clarity of Roles, Conflict Resolution, Teamwork and Collaborative Leadership. Conclusion: The experience carried out demonstrates great potential for promoting integrated, interprofessional and collaborative practices, in addition to being relevant for discussions aimed at implementing such practices in order to achieve, through the Residency Programs, new profiles of health workers in the scope of the Unified Health System.
