The poetic self looks at everyday life and social issues. Gradually, historical negationism, the strained relations of a country that was colonized, the political constitution of the Portuguese language (cf. Grada Kilomba's Plantation Memories), social vulnerability and racism, are interpellated, and even though he wants to escape from all this, he cannot, since such issues are everywhere.
