América Latina en la competencia geopolítica de las grandes potencias en el siglo XXI

Resumo

As reconfigurações geopolíticas impulsionadas pelos Estados Unidos, pela China e pela Rússia no século XXI apresentam desafios para a região da América Latina. China e Rússia implantaram estratégias de poder inteligente em sua política externa em relação à região para disputar a influência dos Estados Unidos. Moscou tem buscado estabelecer alianças estratégicas com vários países latino-americanos, especialmente aqueles que historicamente foram críticos dos Estados Unidos. Por sua vez, Pequim implantou poder inteligente em sua política externa em relação à América Latina, concentrando-se na cooperação econômica e no fortalecimento dos laços políticos e culturais. A América Latina, no contexto da competição entre as grandes potências, expressa no conflito comercial entre os Estados Unidos e a China e nas tensões causadas pela guerra na Ucrânia entre a Rússia e a aliança da OTAN no Ocidente, adquiriu mais relevância geopolítica e geoestratégica, tornando a busca pela unidade e integração uma prioridade para os governos da região no sistema de relações globais.
