Educação ambiental e mediação de conflitos neopentecostais no Parque Nacional da Tijuca

O presente artigo procura analisar os conflitos envolvendo o uso público religioso neopentecostal em áreas do Parque Nacional da Tijuca, assim como as estratégias de enfrentamento desenvolvidas em atividades de educação no processo de gestão ambiental pública no âmbito do Projeto Elos da Diversidade. Empregou-se pesquisa qualitativa, integrando uma breve revisão bibliográfica, documental e aplicação de questionários. Os resultados evidenciam que o modo de pensar e agir conservacionista contribui para o acesso à natureza de forma restrita, com prioridade para a visitação turística mercadológica. Observa-se, nesse contexto, a violação ao direito à liberdade e manutenção religiosa, na medida em que se desenvolve a intolerância, a discriminação e a injustiça ambiental. Em face disso, verifica-se que a partir de uma visão de educação ambiental integradora e libertadora é possível diluir o pragmatismo científico e os conflitos entre as diferentes percepções religiosas e conservadoras da natureza, considerando a criação de políticas públicas que fomentem a inserção da racionalidade dos direitos à liberdade de expressão do sagrado no campo ambiental.
