O Banco Mundial e as Reformas da Previdência Social na América Latina

Neste artigo apresentamos a trajetória do Banco Mundial na sua aproximação com a política de Previdência Social, bem como sua evolução ao longo das décadas de 1980, 1990 e 2000. Partimos da premissa de que tal perspectiva não se apresentou de forma igual nessas três décadas, uma vez que as condições objetivas que a sustentam também se modificaram. Assim, a crise de endividamento dos países da América Latina na década de 1980, os ajustes estruturais, as reforma dos sistemas de repartição e o aumento da pobreza são processos dinâmicos em que o Banco Mundial atuou e ao mesmo tempo se modificou no decorrer dessa atuação.
