Mulher Idosa: liberdade, protagonismo e encargo

Este artigo tem como objetivo desenvolver reflexões sobre a busca de inserção de mulheres nos espaços associativos, como forma de usufruto da liberdade que afirmam enfim, haver conquistado. A problematização passa pelas novas demandas que se colocam na ordem societária para uma população que envelhece e particularmente para as mulheres que ensaiam vôos libertários, limitados pelo pesado ônus de continuar cuidando da família. O trabalho é parte de uma pesquisa realizada junto a mulheres idosas participantes de atividades associativas na região metropolitana da Grande Vitória-Espírito Santo. O resultado da pesquisa aponta para novas possibilidades de expansão do universo social da mulher, limitado pela infinidade de encargos que ainda lhes são atribuídos.
