This article presents an account of an experience carried out in a municipal elementary school in Linhares-ES, with some 9th-grade students. The reflection stems from the participation of the E.M.E.F. “Prefeito Roberto Calmon” school in the Espírito Santo Astronomy Exhibition. With the aim of advancing astronomy studies in the school context, we present a comprehensive research project on the topic: Telescopes, from their beginnings to the present day. Our research sought information about the equipment, personalities, and contributions to astronomy. The topic was presented to the students of the aforementioned school and other schools in the city of Linhares-ES, providing us with an enriching learning experience. During the VII Espírito Santo Astronomy Exhibition, a collaborative competition, we received wonderful contributions that greatly enhanced our scientific outreach work, and we emphasize the importance of disseminating this information also through a website created by the students and through the publication of this manuscript.References
