Abstract

In this essay, we present some aspects of the landscape observed by the visual artist, Hugo Bernardino Rodrigues, during his journeys between the sea and the mountains of Espírito Santo, with the aim of generating a visual/physical/memorial framework, and therefore, providing various studies for its technical and poetic development. It is considered that the apprehension of these landscapes influences their imagination, as well as their respective creative process.

Author Biographies

Jovani Dala Bernardina, LEENA/PPGA-UFES

Jovani Dala. Visual Artist, Reserve Military Police Officer, Retired Civil Police Investigator, Bachelor of Fine Arts (UFES), and Degree in Visual Arts (UNIASSELVI). Experience in Arts, working in the fields: Engraving and Painting. Master's student in Arts at PPGA/UFES, CAPES scholarship holder. Researcher in the groups: Landscape Studies and at LEENA/PPGA/UFES.

Hugo Bernardino Rodrigues, LEENA-UFES

Visual artist with a postgraduate degree from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, he worked at LDI as an illustrator. He developed a dissertation on art fundamentals applied in the field of concept art for animated films. He developed paintings for the cover of the album "Brasileiro" (2017) by singer Silva. He has worked developing scene and character illustrations for the card game Imperium Potens. He also worked as a designer in the construction of images for products from the chocolate company Garoto, for smartphone games and applications.
