“Ed e Tom”, de Silviano Santiago: sob a égide da autoficção

Resumo

RESUMO: Este texto apresenta uma análise do conto “Ed e Tom”, da obra Histórias mal contadas (2005), de Silviano Santiago. O objetivo foi realizar uma reflexão acerca de como o referido conto sugere, pela performance do autor, a problematização dessa nova forma de narrar que aponta para a escrita de si, denominada autoficção. Para adentrar a essa escrita, pautada pela indecidibilidade do gênero – Autobiografia? Ficção? – e realizar um trabalho
analítico consistente, fundamentamos nossa argumentação em aportes teóricos pertinentes à investigação acerca da autoria, como os de Barthes, Foucault, Eurídice Figueiredo, Diana Klinger, Leonor Arfuch, Luciene Azevedo, entre outros.

ABSTRACT: This text presents an analysis of the short story “Ed and Tom”, from the work called “Unmitigated Stories” (2005), written by Silviano Santiago. The objective here was to reflect on how the short story suggests, according to the authors performance, the problematization of this new way to narrate, which points to its own written, called autofiction. To enter into this writing, guided by the undecidability of the genre – autobiography? Fiction? – and to carry out a consistent analytical work, we based our argumentation on theoretical contributions related to the research on the authorship, such as those of Barthes, Foucault, Eurídice Figueiredo, Diana Klinger, Leonor Arfuch, Luciene Azevedo, among others.
